Vicente Ferrer Guasch - Part Two

As promised in this column of last week’s edition, we will carry on showing what pictures and details there are available to be shown of the outstanding lifetime’s work of paintings by the distinguished artist of Ibiza, Vicente Ferrer Guasch.

Ferrer Guasch is recognized as an artist of unique distinction who, over six decades, has redefined painting of the White Island through works of extraordinary vitality and presence. He has concentrated on the paintings that have caught his eye in the way he uses the shades and shadows with the true blues and whites of the unique Mediterranean Island of Ibiza.

The prime concern of the decades devoted to the art of painting between start and finish is his only one of its kind serene scenery of the island in the widest sense and he has concentrated on the paintings that have the greatest emotional charge of Ibiza.

These ten pictures shown today and all other paintings of Vicente Ferrer Guasch that we will show over the following weekly editions will be then added each week to the Artists on Ibiza (Twenty-Two) article by José P Ribas, which initially appear in Weekly Edition 077 Saturday 17th August 2002.
