These are the final ten pictures that we
will be showing from the lifetime’s work of paintings by the
incomparable artist of Ibiza, Vicente Ferrer Guasch.
We have now publicized over a six-weekly
series in excess of sixty pictures of this unique Ibicencan artist’s
paintings and except for one or two the majority have all been painted
by Ferrer Guasch using only two of the Mediterranean’s illustrious
colours, blue for the sky and white for the buildings.
Ninety per cent of these distinctive
paintings we have made known during this series were painted over the
60-years career by Ferrer Guasch of the buildings and the ancient
streets of his home patch in Ibiza Old Town.
These ten pictures along with the
previous paintings that we have published of the exceptional fine art of
Vicente Ferrer Guasch will be added with details when possible to the
fortnightly serialized Artists on Ibiza (Twenty-Two) article by José P
Ribas, which initially appeared in Weekly Edition 077 Saturday 17th
August 2002.
