In
those not-so-distant days it came about the local powers that be decided
to break the mould and give a well-served face-lift to San Antonio.
I
thought for the second week in this photographic series we would take a
bird’s-eye view and show ten pictures of the work at the time that was
being carried out building the new Paseo Maritimo of San Antonio.
These pictures shown here today were taken before the extra land was
reclaimed from the sea to make way for the present day roundabout, piers
and jetties for the beach ferry-boats, duel carriageway with the
flower-beds, plants and palm trees, which have since been planted to
accompany and make a show-piece of the new San Antonio Promenade.
