Food For Thought

Commentary

The Ibicenco way of lifestyle is really something completely different from what you could imagine from this day and age where the island has eventually forged a more-than-useful alliance with the people who come here searching for fun and games under the very hot summer sun.

We are sheltered from the madness of the outside world and its goings here on Ibiza. The majority of folk who visit this unique island possibly don't ever realize the effect they have on the locals who pretend to be out of touch during this touchy-feebly time.

If you ever wondered why and when the island of Ibiza attained the status of a near-legend, then come here during the height of our lunatic summer season and witness the behaviour of the ever-increasing hordes of dyed-in-the-wood holidaymakers.

Beneath the surface, however, it's become increasing fraught to know will they ever live long enough to enjoy and share true happiness in their lives because here the wise learn many things from their foes.

If I truly expressed all my opinions some of the so-called round-the-clock bars and nightclubs that dine upon the bones of their winded tourist trade would be breaking into a cold sweat with their rank-and-file price-fixing.

Every subject has it's professional jargon but I don't think the experiences and sensations one gets during August in Ibiza are particularly different from those one gets from the sort of physical thrill that goes through the minds of people that are not going to change who they are. What you see is what you get because most people today are a product of their countries system. Is this for real?

The sexual shenanigans that go on here during this crazy period of the summertime come across either crude or ridiculous and you never know who is the worst for ware inasmuch as man has his will, but woman has her way.

There's a saying that. "There's no such thing as bad publicity because if people decide to talk or write too much about a certain subject it's because they must thinks that it's popular."

However, destiny is not a matter of chance, it is a matter of choice. It is not a thing to be waited for, it is a thing to be achieved because curiosity is free-wheeling intelligence and this island of Ibiza will always survive.

During the height of our summer season we have to succeed in keeping a cool head because we all have our darkness within so some of us have to keep in control.

Furthermore, whatever is happening here on this island now is nothing to compare with what the Carthaginians were up to thousands of years ago.

Cessation: If you come home to understanding, love and affection then you've probably gone to the wrong house for if all our lives were to end at a happy juncture, they would end in failure, because that's the nature of human affairs.
